Client: Dominique Fufidio, DDS

Purpose: I was hired to work on all of the initial brand development for a new dental practice—Katy Trail Dental. Deliverables included logo design, printed collateral, wearables, promotional materials, design of the exterior signage, website, social media skins, and web banner ads. Last but not least, I wrote and art-directed three 15-second video spots produced by the talented guys at Side Chops.

Client: Eric Rosenstock

Purpose: CrossFit Deep is a gym that uses varied functional exercises to help people reach their fitness goals. The project included a logo re-design as a bold graphic that reinforces the word deep. In addition, T-shirts, business cards, and signage were designed as supporting graphics.

Client: Robert Radcliff

Purpose: After breaking away from another Dallas law firm, Weinstein Radcliff Pipkin, LLP needed a clean look that communicated professionalism and the partners’ love of sleek design. I was engaged to develop a contemporary logo, business cards, other pieces of printed collateral, and interior signage.

Client: Hayley Ruffner

Purpose: I was hired to design and produce anniversary cards for True North Advisors—a prestigious wealth management firm. The anniversary cards were created to commemorate clients’ 1, 5, 10, 15, and 20 years of partnership with True North. Each anniversary card had an understated look, making use of colors and shapes related to the True North logo paired with a subtle blind emboss. The presentation of the anniversary cards was completed with a custom metallic blue square envelope and sealed using a silver faux wax seal.

Allie Beth Allman & Associates “Thanks a Billion” :30 TV Spot

Client: Allie Beth Allman & Associates (Work created while at Banowetz + Company, Inc.)

Purpose: After rebranding and developing a new ad campaign for Allie Beth Allman & Associates—one of Dallas’ premier real estate firms—the agency was tasked with art directing a group photo of the firm’s agents with over 150 participants. To complicate matters, the client also wanted to collect B-roll during the shoot in order to produce a 30-second TV spot celebrating $1 billion in sales for the year.

Purpose: I submitted spec OOH creative for the HBO original comedy series, “Flight of the Conchords.” This two-sided poster featured original illustrations of the show’s two main characters.

Client: Anthony Anderson

Purpose: Formed as a boutique TV and radio production house, Bamboo Grove Creative gets its name from an ancient Chinese tale about seven scholars, writers, and musicians who wished to escape the intrigues, corruption, and stifling atmosphere of the Chinese court. The small firm needed an image that paid homage to the name. I helped to develop a logo and stationery pieces, including business cards, note cards, and a matching note card envelope.

Client: Ben Baume

Purpose: Chatham Worth, a Dallas-based construction company, started carrying a new product targeted to high-end office buildings and architecture firms—porcelain marker walls with high-strength magnetic properties. I was engaged to develop a slick 3-D mailer aimed at getting a sample of the product into clients’ hands. Featuring unexpected headlines, a branded dry-erase marker, and a magnetic business card, the mailers helped Chatham Worth catch people’s eyes and close new sales.

Purpose: Started as a one-woman photography and illustration representation firm, Button Represents needed a logo and stationery system. The look had to be sophisticated enough to appeal to graphic design and advertising agencies, yet fun enough to play off the owner’s last name.

Purpose: Working in conjunction with masters champion Olympic lifter Melissa Knourek, I helped develop M+E Collective. The clothing line consisted of tanks and T-shirts for female Olympic lifters and athletes. The products feature witty headlines, fun typography, and cheerful colors, and they’re all printed on shirts designed specifically to fit a woman’s body.

Purpose: This die-cut collateral piece for Vine Vault was estimated, designed, printed, and delivered in one week. Vine Vault, a new company specializing in high-end wine storage, needed a unique printed piece to spread the word about their services at a wine convention.

Client: Tiffany Brant

Purpose: A self-professed health nut, Tiffany Brant overcame low self-esteem issues, an eating disorder, and drug abuse to become the trainer and nutritional guru she is today. I was honored to help name the fitness brand, develop a website, and art direct a fitness shoot at a local gym.

Purpose: Texas singer/songwriter Shelley King needed CD packaging that elevated her image. I developed graphics for her most recent CD that set her apart from other Texas artists, who use clichéd western motifs.

Client: Katie + Eric Venegas

Purpose: Katie and I got married in Hawaii—just the two of us on a beach. Upon coming back to Dallas, we threw a wedding reception to celebrate our nuptials with family and friends. Held in an old church basement, the affair featured a barbeque dinner and a musical performance by Texas singer-songwriter Shelley King.

Client: The Snoring Center (Work created while at Banowetz + Company, Inc.)

Purpose: Rarely have I worked on spec creative, but during my stint at Banowetz we participated in a pitch for The Snoring Center—a medical treatment facility specializing in treating sleep apnea and other sleeping disorders. This eye-catching campaign was envisioned as a mix of witty headlines and images of embroidered pillows. As an agency, we also recommended creating pillows that tied in to the campaign and using them as promotional giveaways to potential clients.

Client: Matt Kinard

Purpose: Working on commissions for friends is an honor I take very seriously. A friend from college wanted to celebrate his grandfather, Larry Kinard, who was elected to the office of president of the Korean War Veterans Association. I was tasked with creating a digital illustration to commemorate the Korean War and President Kinard’s election, using a mix of family photos, press images, and stock photography.

Client: The Samaritan Inn

Purpose: The Samaritan Inn is a homeless shelter in McKinney, Texas, which helps the residents with job, financial, emotional, and spiritual counseling. I was asked to rebrand Rock the Inn—one of The Inn’s largest annual charity events—by updating the logo, supporting collateral, and signage with a more authentic rock ‘n’ roll look and feel.

Client: Josh Cotton

Purpose: Josh was referred to me after starting a clothing line called The Fit and Furious (a name I encouraged him to change because of copyright infringement). Because of my extensive experience with CrossFit gyms, Olympic lifting training, and fitness brands, I helped design T-shirts and tanks for the three sub-brands of The Fit and Furious (Goliath Bodybuilding, Brothers in Iron, and Iron Angels).

Client: Kara Williams

Purpose: I pride myself on running a business with my head and my heart. When I was asked to work on T-shirt designs to benefit the Brain Treatment Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to helping veterans with traumatic brain injuries, I jumped at the chance to be part of a worthy cause. While the client provided basic direction, I was charged with refining four visual concepts and creating original illustrations for each T-shirt design.
